Thorough Details About Mitsubishi Grandis

The Grandis, which is already one of the best value MPVs in the market, receives refreshed exterior styling and more equipment for its spacious and versatile cabin.

As the name suggests, the new Grandis is a symbol of grand luxury. Staying true to its identity, Grandis fulfills customers’ desire for comfort, versatile space, enhanced convenience, added safety and performance with some of the most value-added innovations in its class.

The new features include roof rails, Xenon headlamps with auto-leveling, 2 DIN LCD touch screen with GPS and reverse camera visual display, Keyless Operation System and power tailgate.

Powered by a 165PS 2.4-litre MIVEC engine, the Grandis, which was a winner at the 2007/2008 Autocar ASEAN Car of the Year Awards and 2007 NST/Maybank Car of the Year Awards, is priced at RM165, 427.80 on the road excluding insurance.

The new Grandis’ sporty outlook is amplified by a set of Xenon headlamps with auto-leveling, which consume less energy but produce 70% more illumination than Halogen headlamps.

Power tailgate with automatic safety mode, is another refinement that lets the driver open and shut the tailgate with the press of a button on the Keyless Remote or the driver’s console.

For greater convenience, the new Grandis is equipped with a Keyless Operation System, which allows drivers to keep the car key in their pockets or bag when unlocking, locking and starting the vehicle.

Stylishly sturdy roof rails – a handy addition for transporting extra kit and sports gears, add up to the sporty image of Grandis.

A new 2-DIN 6.1-inch DVD receiver gives added convenience with its touch screen interface and acceptance of multiple audio/video file formats. The system also doubles up as GPS navigation and reverse camera visual display.

Fully imported from Japan, its comprehensive list of standard features includes power steering, power windows, retractable exterior mirrors, fully automatic air conditioning, dual SRS airbags, corner sensor, ABS with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body, ETACS (Electronic Time and Alarm Control System), numerous storage areas and an extremely flexible three-row seating arrangement.
